Ondo Kingdom once again came alive in a vibrant display of culture, tradition, and communal pride as sons and daughters of the land gathered for the Ekimogun Day 2025 celebration, held on December 27, 2025, at the Civic Center in Ondo Kingdom.

The annual cultural festival, widely regarded as one of the most important events in the Ondo calendar, brought together indigenes from across Nigeria and the diaspora. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as attendees proudly showcased the rich heritage, customs, and values that define the people of Ondo.

This year’s celebration was beautifully captured through a collection of colorful photographs taken by members of the Ondo Ekimogun Dynamic Club, documenting moments of joy, pride, and cultural expression throughout the event.
A Festival of Culture and Heritage
From the early hours of the day, the Civic Center was filled with a sea of traditional attire. Men appeared in elegant agbada and fila, while women dazzled in beautifully styled aso-oke, gele, and ipele, reflecting the timeless fashion and identity of the Yoruba people.

The event featured cultural performances, traditional music, and displays that celebrated the history and heritage of Ondo Kingdom. Drummers beat the talking drums with mastery, dancers moved gracefully to ancestral rhythms, and chants echoed proudly across the venue.
Community leaders, cultural custodians, youth groups, and distinguished guests all participated in the celebration, reaffirming their shared commitment to preserving Ondo’s cultural legacy for future generations.
Unity and Community Spirit
